With nearly 2.5 million members and some 14,000 community posts, The American Legion is truly a grassroots organization, guided by resolutions that spring from local Legionnaires and are advance to the state and national levels. From there, American Legion resolutions help shape U.S. policy on many fronts, including veterans health care, national security, foreign affairs and the economy.

Bandera Honors
Veterans
Do you know of a veteran in the Bandera area, past or present whose story deserves to be told? We are looking for military stories and pictures of the men and women who live or lived in the Bandera area. These stories are integral to our history and to tell the story of our communities contribution to the defense of our great nation.
Please provide information on your service
What service were you in?
What was your duty title/career field? Where did you go to Basic? What years were you in? What awards and honors did you receive? What theaters of service were you in? What are some of the installations you were assigned to? What are some of your military accomplishments? Where do you call home now?
Please also include a photo of yourself in the service. We will also look to include these stories in our annual Bandera Honors Veterans event.
